I lost my 16 year old 8 years ago this Dec, and it is the most devastating thing to go through. My prayers are with the family.

No parents should ever have to bury their child. My condolences to the family. We always revisit our past decisions and put blames on ourselves when something goes wrong. The agonizing thoughts of “I should of done this” or “why didn’t I do that”. For me, talking it out with a trusted friend or family is more therapeutic than beating myself up with these questions.

I do not know this family like you do, but I am very sad for their loss. As a parent of a troubled teen girl, death is something I have to open my mind to, as much as I don’t want to. This poem is beautiful and I hope the family finds some solace in it. Please know that I am thinking of and praying for you and Max’s family. Deepest condolences.
