I learned this wonderful metaphor at a parenting workshop and I thought it would be nice to share during this holiday season of love, giving and sharing. Ever since I first learned about the Love Bank I cannot stop thinking about it. In fact, at times I have caught myself subconsciously wondering if I am gaining or losing points in my Love Bank.
GOOD
The Love Bank will bring you happiness or piece (peace) of mind. The Love Bank works like any other bank every time you say something loving or nice to someone you are adding (deposit) to your Love Bank. The more points you have in your Love Bank the happier or wealthier you will be.
BAD
In return when you say something mean, deceitful or hurtful you are withdrawing or losing points from your Love Bank. Yes, you can get into debt. Therefore the more points you have in your Love Bank the better you will feel about yourself and those around you. I have found, that as simple as it sounds it is not always easy.
I must admit I withdrew some love points over the weekend, but now I am working at gaining them back. How healthy is your Love Bank? ♥

It sounds like a John Gottman workshop, his marriage books talk about this sort of thing. Hugely helpful in all kinds of relationships.
I’ve heard this before and I think it is a really cool concept. Thanks for sharing.
