Parents with Troubled Teens Need A Break – Let’s Dance

in Being Happy

JUST FOR FUN!
Having a troubled teen can really bring you down. Enough with all the sadness, let’s have some fun. I just want to tell you how I am feeling … never going to tell a lie … I’m never going to let you down… I just want to tell you how I am feeling. Sounds like family therapy to me.

All parents with troubled teens – Let’s Dance! What a hoot – at a parent conference have a Troubled Teen Parent Dance. Now that’s a concept, any takers?

Are you smiling? I am.

Thanks Chris, that is what it is all about. We need to feel good so that we can be there for our teens. We have to stay strong.

I’ve been reading your blog for a few months–got the reference from my son’s therapist at his TBS. I’ve really appreciated checking in with you–we share so much as parents going through this with our kids–so many seesawing emotions.
But this post finally moved me to write–great! Laughs seem to be few and far between these day, but this one did it. So thank you for hanging in there and caring enough to put all this energy into the blog.
P.S. I told my husband that I’d be forwarding this YouTube video and your suggestion for a Troubled Teen Parent Dance (I’m laughing as I write this) to our son’s therapist. He was not amused–he’s not a big dancer!

Thanks Danielle, it is readers like you that keep my blog going. Parents with troubled teens need to know they are not alone. Let us know when you get your blog ready for prime time. I am sure we can learn from you.

I just wanted to say you have a great blog here and I’m looking forward to reading more in detail. I have a troubled teen myself so I’ve started my own blog but not ready to go public with it yet.

Keep it up! Information and experiences like this are needed so people realize that this type of teen trouble is not as uncommon as they might think!
