The economy is hitting Three Rivers Montana an outdoor wilderness program based in Belgrade. They are closing the doors the end of this month and laying off 37 employees. January is usually a very big month for admissions and they did not get any this year. Many of the families that use the program tend to be middle-class and depend on loans for financing.

The anouncement was in the local newpaper  Bozeman Montana Local News.

if you are in need of a similar type school or program i would suggest the Paul Anderson Youth Home in Vidalia, GA. it cost around $1,000- $2,000 dollars a month and have a 90% success rate with their graduates. I am also a graduate and my life life has been changed forever and am truly blessed for being a member of the P.A.Y.H.

the website is as follows PAYH.org

I heard this very sad news this morning from someone I had just introduced Three Rivers to. They called me after going on the web site and learning of the closing. I am devastated. There are no words that can describe the loss I am feeling for the families that are desperate for this lifeline. This program saved my sons life and gave him the tools for a healthy future. It turned my life around and gave my family a chance we never would have had without the incredible dedication of the Staff. I regret that the funding is not there for this valuable Program to continue . This is an enormous loss to families in need. I will forever cherish the opportunity we were given at Three Rivers. From the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone from this wilderness program….. Joni Peck Ford
