Spectrum is one of many organizations in the United States that provides community leadership to promote acceptance, understanding, and full inclusion for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
The queer youth population has one of the highest incidence of suicide and self harm due to the lack of acceptance and personal identity issues. Finding support, acceptance and creating a healthy space where these kids have someone to talk to and feel comfortable is important for their well being and the future of our country. We can help these young people find their way by breaking down the barriers and helping them feel comfortable in their own skin. Organizations like Spectrum are working to help these kids and educate the community.
