Here are the facts about Heroin in our teen communities. One time a drug that only was seen in big cities is now moving into the suburbs. This report by US News and World Report clarifies information that I was startled to hear existed in my own community. From what I understand, the reason for a higher visibility and usage of heroin today among teens has to do largely with the inexpensive cost and it can now be snorted.
This report is mainly about the Northeastern United States, but I know for a fact it is also popular on the West Coast. I have personally listened to distraught parents in support groups talk about their teens dependance on this overly addictive drug, heroin, and how they watched their child go from living a healthy life too the inability to get out of bed.
