Don’t Stress The Small Stuff For Teens – Good Book for Back to School and Teen Stress
I know my son gets stressed out during the school year, especially now that he is starting his Freshman year of High School. His moods seem to go up and down, there is nothing I can say or do that seems to make life more harmonious. If I want to help he tends to push me away. This little book has been around for awhile and I even think you can get it for a penny on Amazon. Whether in High School or starting College it is not easy with all the social stresses, identity issues and trying to fit in, it is a wonder they make it through a lecture. This may be the perfect back-to-school supply. Tuck it in a back pack or keep it under a pillow, it might be the inspiration needed to help teens make it through the day.
Examples in the book include a chapter on obsessing over issues and getting overly focused on one thing, losing sight of everything else. Along with becoming a volunteer in your community, finding something that you really enjoy and going out and doing it. Not to be negative with your friends when you feel blue, this may be the time to stay away until you feel better. Instead of making unkind or caustic comments stay away so that you don’t have to feel guilty, make apologies or feel even more stressfull worrying about your inappropriate behaviors or hurtful words. Truly these are words of wisdom for all ages. Share this book with someone you love!
