Just returned today from a short break for our first “real” family vacation this summer. Sadly this is the second summer my son will be away from home and in an RTC. He missed being with us again, I always feel bad for my younger son that he did not have a companion, but he seemed to do ok. I always imagine what it would be like if we were all together. Next week marks the beginning of another new era for our family my youngest son will start high school. I can already tell it is going to be a much different experience for him. It will be interesting for me having to face the same administrators, from when my older son spun out of control, hopefully it will not bring back unhappy memories. At the RTC, school is year around. This next week they have off and then it starts another term. That is how they keep or get them caught up so they can earn a high school diploma.
Now it is time for me get back in gear, there is going to be some great new things happening on the TroubledTeenBlog. I am always open to hearing your comments for new information. I have some great contacts and authorities that can support families with troubled teens. If you have an experience or ideas to share on the blog, I invite you to become a contributor. Teens may also want to share their experiences.
Recently I learned about a grant system that is being developed for teens and familys that may need financial help. I will be following up on this and posting the information.
