Alcohol Advertising, Teens and Drinking

With more and more communities having local host laws, teens and drinking still remains to be a problem. Teen drinking was a problem when I was a kid. My mother never drank but my father did. I remember going to friends homes and I always thought it was so cool that both of their parents drank, but now looking back I feel differently.

Here is an article from Science Daily on the effect of alcohol advertising on adolescents. We all know the statistics on when teens begin to experiment with alcohol, but what effects alcohol usage. This has always been puzzling to me. Why one kid drinks and another does not. In this article they do find  links between advertising and teenage drinking, but once again the greatest influences are peers and parents.
